Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 15, 2026

1. Introduction

Lensly ("Lensly", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information you provide when using the Lensly mobile application ("App").

This Privacy Policy explains what information Lensly may collect, how that information is used, how photographs are processed, and the choices you have regarding your data.

By using Lensly, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you use, Lensly may process the following types of information:

3. Camera Access

Lensly may request access to your device camera so that you can take photographs directly within the App.

Lensly only accesses the camera when you use a feature that requires camera access and when permission has been granted through the operating system.

You can deny or revoke camera permission at any time through your device settings.

4. Photo Library Access

Lensly may request access to your photo library so that you can select photographs for analysis.

Lensly only uses photographs that you choose to provide to the App. You can manage or revoke photo library permissions through your device settings.

5. How We Use Photographs

Photographs submitted to Lensly may be processed to provide the requested AI-powered image analysis and related photography features.

Depending on the feature being used, an image may be transmitted to Lensly's servers and/or third-party AI processing services in order to generate the requested analysis.

Lensly does not use your private photographs to publicly display them unless you explicitly choose to publish the photograph to the Lensly community.

Your choice matters: A photograph does not become a public community post simply because you submit it for AI analysis. You must explicitly choose to share it with the community.

6. AI Processing and Third-Party AI Services

Lensly uses artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies to analyze photographs and generate photography-related insights.

When you choose to analyze a photograph, the photograph you submit may be transmitted through Lensly's servers to Google Gemini, a third-party AI service provided by Google, for the purpose of analyzing the image and generating the requested photography-related results.

The information sent for AI analysis may include the photograph you selected and the information necessary to process that photograph. The analysis may identify or describe characteristics such as composition, lighting, exposure, focus, color, background, and other photography-related characteristics visible in the image.

Lensly does not send a photograph to Google Gemini for AI analysis until you choose to proceed with the AI analysis. Before the photograph is transmitted for this purpose, Lensly provides an in-app disclosure identifying the photograph as the data being sent, identifying Google Gemini as the third-party AI service, explaining the purpose of the transfer, and requesting your permission to proceed.

AI data sharing: By choosing to proceed after the in-app disclosure, you authorize Lensly to send the selected photograph to Google Gemini for the requested AI analysis. You can decline this transfer by cancelling the analysis.

Google may process information submitted to its services in accordance with Google's applicable terms and privacy policies. Lensly uses the third-party AI service only as necessary to provide the AI analysis feature requested by you.

Lensly does not use your private photographs to publicly display them unless you explicitly choose to publish the photograph to the Lensly community.

7. Community Content

Lensly provides an optional community feature that allows you to publish an analyzed photograph so that other Lensly users can view and like it.

When you publish an image to the community, the image and information associated with that post may be visible to other users.

You should only publish photographs that you are comfortable making available to other Lensly users.

8. Deleting Your Photos and Posts

Lensly gives you control over photographs and community posts that you have created.

Photos in History

Photographs and their associated analysis stored in your History remain available until you choose to delete them.

You can delete an item from your History using the delete function provided in the App.

Community Posts

If you publish a photograph to the Lensly community, you can delete your own post using the delete function provided by the App.

Deleting a community post removes that post from the Lensly community and prevents it from being displayed as an active public post.

Important: Deletion is initiated by the user. You are responsible for deleting photographs from your History or deleting your community posts when you no longer want them stored or publicly displayed through Lensly.

9. Information You Share Publicly

Information that you voluntarily publish to the Lensly community should be considered public within the Lensly community.

Please avoid sharing photographs or information that contain sensitive personal information about yourself or other people unless you have the appropriate permission to do so.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information processed through Lensly against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Third-Party Services

Lensly may use third-party service providers to support features such as AI image processing, cloud infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, and other technical services.

For AI image analysis, Lensly uses Google Gemini, a third-party AI service provided by Google. Photographs submitted for AI analysis may be transmitted to Google Gemini as described in Section 6. The purpose of this transfer is to process the selected photograph and return the AI analysis requested by you.

Other third-party providers may process information only as necessary to provide their services to Lensly. Lensly does not authorize third-party providers to use your private photographs for purposes unrelated to the services they provide to Lensly, except where otherwise disclosed or required by applicable law.

12. Children's Privacy

Lensly is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by applicable law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to Lensly inappropriately, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.

13. Your Privacy Choices

You can control several aspects of your information through the App and your device settings, including:

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Lensly, our services, or applicable legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date shown at the top of this Privacy Policy.

Your continued use of Lensly after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective constitutes your acknowledgment of the updated policy.

15. Contact Us
