  • Usage data: session counts, feature usage, crash logs (collected in an anonymized form).

Note: We do not access SMS content, your personal contacts list, or call recordings.

4. Permissions Used

To provide caller ID, spam protection, and notification features, WhatsCallMe requests only the permissions necessary for core functionality.

4.1 In‑app permission prompts (user‑visible)

  • Allow WhatsCallMe to make and manage phone calls
  • Allow WhatsCallMe to act as your caller ID and block unwanted calls
  • Allow notifications from WhatsCallMe

4.2 Android permission mapping

  • Phone / Calls CALL_PHONE, READ_PHONE_STATE, MANAGE_OWN_CALLS — detect/manage call events for caller ID and protection.
  • Default phone app Role / Call screening — allow caller ID and blocking features to function.
  • Notifications Post notifications — show call alerts and status updates.
  • Overlay Draw over other apps — display warning pop‑ups on top of the call screen.
  • Contacts (optional) Read contacts — improve caller identification from your address book.
  • Network Internet access — update the spam number database.

5. Sharing Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. Data may be shared only when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or security of users and the community.

6. Data Storage & Security

  • Data is transmitted and stored securely with encryption.
  • We apply technical and organizational measures to prevent unauthorized access, misuse, or loss.
  • Data is retained only as long as necessary for the stated purposes or as required by law.

7. Your Rights

  • Request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Contact us if you believe your data is being misused.
